Contact
- Who are the Yeagersons?! Michelle Yeager + Rick Wilson = Yeagersons. Is this going to be our new last name?! No – we’re each keeping our last name.
Things to Do in Town
- Fremont Neighborhood, the “Center of the Universe” and the most artsy town around. Next to the waterfront, Maker’s Street Market on Sunday mornings, bar hopping, and Dinosaurs!
- Gasworks Park, A beautiful re-purposed park with history. Also the place where the photo on our invitation was taken by Rick. If you want to get a similarly awesome photo, go to the top of Kite Hill.
- Ballard Sunday Farmers Market, the place to go for a tasty Sunday morning treat made locally
- Woodland Park Zoo, five blocks from our townhouse
- Theo Chocolate, they have a tasting tour experience that’s to chocolate for!
- Pike Place Market, the most extensive market you’ll ever visit
- Seattle Central Library, Rick’s favorite architectural building ever
- Space Needle, the icon of Seattle. Meals are $$$$, and the view is $$, but a memorable experience for the kiddos
- Rick’s Architecture Firm, Integrus Architecture at Pioneer Square
Getting Around
Airport: SEA “Seattle-Tacoma International Airport” to Fremont, Seattle:
- Ask an airport employee where to walk to find the “Link Light Rail” to Downtown Seattle – it’s not easy to find on your own,
- We suggest you purchase an ORCA Card at the Link station. Consider putting $5 per day that you are in town onto your card for each person. That way you can get around downtown easy and stress-free while visiting!
- Board the Link Light Rail north toward University of Washington Station, ride to Pioneer Square station,
- Go up to the surface in the middle of the city, and walk across the street to 3rd Ave and James, board the 5 bus north toward Shoreline Greenwood. Sit on the right side of the bus so you can see the stops.
- If you want to go directly to the Fremont Abbey, get off the bus at N 43rd St and Fremont Ave N.
- Here are the directions on Google Maps
- Get a beer and burger at Uneeda Burger – because you deserve it! Try the BBQ Smash – Rick’s favorite.
Bus
- Download this App: OneBusAway
- There are two buses that stop right next to our house and in Fremont, the 44 and the 5
- Have $1 bills in cash on-hand to pay for fare if you didn’t purchase an ORCA Card
- We take the bus all the time and love it compared to driving
Uber/Lyft
- Both Uber and Lyft are great transportation options, and we recommend this if you don’t want to figure out how to ride the light rail or bus.
Show Up Early
- 4pm – 6pm Reception Setup at The Fremont Abbey
- We will be setting up the Fremont Abbey starting at about 4pm.
- There are bars, good restaurants of all kinds, cafés and a grocery market right around the Abbey.
